About the Service

Basement & Foundation Excavation, Done Right

We dig to your plans and stakes, with the right depth for footings and the right slope on the walls for safety. We plan the ramp, the spoil piles and the haul-off, and we leave the bottom clean, level and ready for the footing crew.

After the foundation is poured, we come back to backfill, rough grade and set drainage so the finished lot sheds water away from the walls from day one.

Music City Excavation brings basement & foundation excavation to homes, farms and businesses in Nashville and across 16 Middle Tennessee cities.

Questions About Basement & Foundation Excavation

Still have a question?

Call 615-357-7797

How deep does a basement dig need to be?

It depends on the plans, the footing depth and the local frost depth. We dig to your builder’s plans and stakes.

What if we hit rock?

Rock changes the dig, and we talk about it early. If we find it, we explain your options, which can include breaking it out with a hydraulic hammer.

Can you haul away the extra dirt?

Yes. Your estimate shows what stays on site for backfill and grading and what we haul away.
